Let’s face it. The Duke Men’s Basketball team suffered quite the defeat against UNC last night. It was not a good day to be a Blue Devil or a Blue Devil fan. But a recent Twitter feed can at least ease a little bit of our pain: at least we understand the difference between “their” and “they’re.” A Twitter exchange between the UNC and Duke Student Governments highlights the importance of knowing your homonyms. A mistake over a simple homonym looks bad no matter how you cut it. Such an error certainly makes UNC’s attempt to mock Duke a complete failure. Yes, the Tar Heels won, but at least the Blue Devils can still have a little bit of satisfaction! Go Duke!
